MJ is excited to announce that we have added another Professional Engineer (PE) to our team! Congratulations to Megan Bacon, PE who recently passed the New York State Professional Engineering License Exam! The PE is an immense accomplishment – the engineering profession’s highest standard of competence, a symbol of achievement and assurance of quality.
Megan began her career at MJ in 2017. She has a variety of highway experience, including roadway design, traffic analysis, drainage and stormwater design, multi-use trails, bicycle/pedestrian safety upgrades, environmental services, pavement reconstruction, ADA compliance, landscaping, and cost estimating. Megan earned her BS in civil engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Recently, she has provided design for highway improvements along Watervliet Shaker Road (CR 157) in Albany County, a pedestrian/bicycle connection on Washington Avenue in the Village of Scotia, and development of the Mill River Greenway in Nassau County.
“It is with great pleasure that I’m able to announce that Megan Bacon has joined the ranks of the professional engineering society! Megan leads and coordinates various projects in the transportation highway group. She joined MJ over five years ago and her engineering knowledge and attention to detail has steadily increased over her tenure here. Megan has become a key member of our group. Please join me in congratulating Megan on this career milestone!” - Brian Cooper, PE, Principal, Director of Transportation
