Weaver Street Storm & Sanitary Sewer Improvements
City of Schenectady, New York
MJ was responsible for design and construction inspection services for the removal of a deteriorated section of a stone drainage culvert, which was replaced with a new precast concrete box culvert. The contract also called for the installation of a new sanitary siphon pipe and new sanitary structures. This allowed the existing sanitary main to pass under the new precast box culvert. A temporary bypass pump system was installed because the existing sanitary main pipe had to be removed to allow for the installation of the new sanitary siphon pipes. New storm drainage structures were installed adjacent to the new box culvert. New sidewalks were also installed and the roadway was reconstructed and paved.
