New Haven, Connecticut

Under our term contract with the U.S. Coast Guard, MJ was responsible for providing topographic survey, utility survey, and electronic base mapping at the USCG Sector Long Island Sound. MJ  prepared topographic survey and mapping utilizing mobile mapping LiDAR data collection and processing. The campus survey was developed to support the design of various infrastructure improvements.

Following the survey, provided design for improvements to the facility’s main sanitary sewer pumping station. The upgrades included removal of the existing pumping system, retrofit of two new 150 gallon per minute submersible pumps and level sensing instrumentation in the existing wetwell, new precast concrete valve vault, pump station bypass connection and pump control system.

The project included the rehabilitation of parking areas, replacement of concrete curbs, sidewalks, and a boat ramp. Underground water and sewer utilities, including piping, manholes, and service connections/laterals, were also replaced. MJ provided design, bid, and construction administration services on this task order.
