Town Court Renovation

MJ led a program study for the possibility of a new combined courthouse, senior center, and multi-use building for the Town of Wilton. Following the study, it was instead decided to renovate the existing courthouse building for increased security to the town’s staff, as well as meet the Office of Court Administration (OCA) Guidelines.

MJ provided design and developed construction documents for the first phase of the existing court building renovation. Renovations included a new roof system over the entire building, a canopy at the southeast corner of the existing building, a new vestibule at the front of the building, replacement of the exterior windows and exterior façade of the structure and raising the roof elevation over the judge chambers to construct a shed roof to match the elevation of the remainder of the building.
