SUNY Polytechnic, Hilltop Hall

MJ provided survey and engineering services for the completion of bridging documents for a new residence hall at SUNY Polytechnic Utica. MJ prepared the bridging documents for civil design, as well as completing survey, coordinating geotechical services and wetland delineations. Documents were provided to the selected design/build team.


The newest residence hall, Hilltop Hall, is the first SUNY zero-net carbon-certified complex with 21 singles and 118 doubles with a private bathroom by room. Hilltop includes many outdoor green spaces such as a courtyard and incorporates a bioretention/rain garden to detain stormwater runoff and remove contaminants from the collected water.
