SUNY Alfred Pioneer Stadium Athletic Field Rehabilitation

MJ provided design for the rehabilitation of the running track and replacement of the synthetic playing field at SUNY Alfred’s Pioneer Stadium. The project began with an initial field investigation that included survey, geotechnical engineering and soil investigations. After the investigation was complete, MJ began work on the track and field resurfacing which included taking the existing track down to the base asphalt, reconstructing the drainage system and applying a new track surface of a higher quality material with a longer life expectancy. MJ’s design replaced the turf on the athletic field and ensured that all needed lines for the school’s sports met NCAA requirements for competitive play. Lighting systems were also designed to ensure energy efficiency.
