MJ is accepting applications for a transportation/highway project manager to join our Clifton Park, NY office.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work and coordinate with multiple design team members and various clients to support transportation project designs from initial project programming up to and through construction.
Assist with client solicitations including preparation of project proposals, development of budgets and schedules, and attendance at proposal interviews.
Familiarity with the design aspects related to general highway projects, including but not limited to roadway and intersection geometry, roadway profiles, grading, drainage, utilities, erosion control, signing and striping, traffic signals and pedestrian accommodations is required. Candidate will mentor junior engineers and guide the development of calculations, designs and contract documents related to highway projects.
Provide lead support role including but not limited to the preparation of technical reports, public presentations, public meetings, client meetings, design reports, drainage reports, bid documents, cost estimating and management of engineering and CADD staff.
Develop project schedules and coordinate with clients and staff to ensure that tasks are completed and milestones are met as required.
Interaction with various clients as required to successfully manage a project.
Participate in construction administration support including shop drawing reviews, reviewing / responding to RFIs, and facilitating regularly scheduled construction progress meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
10 + years of relevant experience in civil engineer and consulting with focus in transportation design.
B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET- accredited college
Registration as a P.E. in New York State is required.
Understanding of NYSDOT and NYSTA specifications and regulations is required.
Ability to work within multiple design teams and execute project objectives and goals to meet demanding schedules.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or be eligible to work without an employer sponsorship.

Salary Range: $95,000-$110,000
