RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work within a project team to oversee and contribute to BIM (Building Information Modeling) development from existing condition reality capture data, as-builts and design drawings
Develop BIM including architectural, structural, and MEP elements to required LOD for facilities ranging in size from 20,000 – 500,000 sq feet. Produce CAD drawings, elevation / section views, and plan sheets from models
Integrate BIM models into CAFM/CIFM systems. Utilize CAFM to generate reports, conduct facility surveys, and manage a database of assets across multiple facilities and campuses.
Communicate effectively and coordinate with project team members, including in-house and external designers from a variety of disciplines
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree in computer aided drafting, engineering technology, or construction management preferred but not required
At least 5 years of experience and demonstrated expertise in Autodesk Revit required.
Experience in facilities management utilizing CAFM / CIFM software is a plus
Knowledge of utilizing LiDAR or photogrammetric pointclouds along with 2D as-built or record drawings to derive architectural, structural, and MEP elements within BIM at specified LOD required
Fluency in reading 2D construction documents and working with existing BIM models required
Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain security clearance. Already having the clearance is a plus
Experience with VDC (Virtual Design and Construction), digital twins, and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) is a plus
Knowledge of 3D data processing software such as Leica Register360, Clearedge Edgewise, AutoCAD Civil 3D, TopoDOT is a plus
Experience working on public buildings and familiarity with Spatial Data Management (SDM) is a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail required
